Cervicocranium is the area extending from CCJ to include Occiput, C1 (Atlas), and C2 (Axis) vertebrae. Its anatomical particularity makes it challenging for conventional Atlanto-Occipital Joint imaging, as it is a pure rotational joint. This makes it the most difficult area to handle without tools that control 3-dimensional positioning of the Cervicocranium during imaging studies.
Any rotation in the C1/C2 directly translates into angular distortion, which results in diagnostically flawed X-ray images with poor diagnostic quality.
The SMARTRAY ® GLX 0.1 device is a patent-pending artificial intelligence-based technology system with a user-friendly interface that controls all axes of rotation. The system addresses the following challenges:
- It makes diagnostic imaging technology of CCJ and C1/C2 accessible to a large population suffering from undiagnosed upper quarter chronic pain.
See symptoms here. - By reducing the amount of imaging required, the technology helps decrease ionizing radiation exposure. It is supported by an efficient countrywide/global PGUIS™ network that enhances communication between registered stakeholders, including doctors and patients. This opens doors for large-scale statistical analyses aimed at improving specific treatment protocols and studying disease progression and prognoses.
